First Grade

First graders have to opportunity to work hands-on with the recipes we prepare in class. In addition to continuing our read-aloud book series, first graders also practice independent work that challenges math, reading, and writing skills. Our lessons focus on understanding the basic foods that belong in the five different food groups on MyPlate.
